Google-led Iowa Get Your Business Online is here! NAWBO-CI is promoting this effort to provide the state's local businesses with the tools and resources to get online and succeed online. Some 59% of Iowa businesses have no website or online presence.
On either September 12 or 13 at the FFA Enrichment Center in Ankeny, you can attend one or all three classes: Get a Free Website, Running Your Business Online and Introduction to Google AdWords.
At the Get a Free Website workshop you'll publish a website for your business in less an 60 minutes and learn how to customize your Google Places online listing. One-on-one help and computers will be available.
The Running Your Business Online workshop shares online tools to operate and promote your business. Plus, you'll learn about small business tools like Google Places, Google Adwords, Google Analytics and Google Apps.
The Introduction to Google AdWords workshop is a beginner's guide for getting started and improving your performance. You'll learn how to create an account, choose keywords and write great ads, as well as how Google ranks them.
NAWBO-CI will have a table at the Ankeny launch event. Other Iowa communities being visited with workshops by Google experts include Council Bluffs (9/15), Waterloo (9/16), Cedar Falls (9/27) and Pella (9/30). Local business should have an online presence for their survival. People used to search for things online even to buy from a local shop. While going online they can also opt for affiliate marketing to effectively market their products. It is a cost effective marketing method which most of the local business owners don't know.
